Trujillo, Peru

Dr. Felix & Bertha Aldave run the ministry in Trujilla, Peru. Founded in 1998, it includes prayer and youth ministries, water and sanitation projects, hunger relief, and clinics in two neighborhoods. Trujillo, Peru has an Associate Ministry status.

 In 1998, God placed a call on Dr. Felix and Bertha Aldave to work in the poor communities outside of Trujillo, Peru, including Cerro Bolongo and Buenos Aires. These communities are in the desert, where water is so scarce it arrives by truck. In 1993, El Niсo flooded the communities, washing away the homes made of mud bricks and thatched roofs, leaving nothing in its wake except the people.

The ministry includes a medical clinic, village clinics and pharmacies, health and nutrition education, water, agricutlure and sanitation projects, and corrective surgery. Quininde, Ecuador

 Founded in 2002, the Luke Society ministry in Quininde, Ecuador, is directed by Dr. Yeny Agila. The clinic provides community banks, a scholar health program, an educational and prevention program, marriage enrichment, and evangelism. The PMTs are Drew & Jean Vogel and Jim & Sharla Clemens.

It wasn’t until after Dr. Yeny Agila de Penos became a doctor that she became a Christian. And it was soon after becoming a Christian that God led her to the verse in Isaiah that she now claims as her ministry verse. "I did not understand it at first," Dr. Agila de Penos says. "I said, ‘Lord, I am a woman doctor. I am here to cure the sick. How can I feed the hungry or dress the naked or free the captive?’"

Corinto, Colombia

 Founded in 2006, the ministry in Corinto Colombia is directed by Dr. Jaime Pineda. The ministry includes medical care, home visits, education workshops, community health training, soccer outreach, and community gardens. The PMTs are Jack and Anne-Marie Derrico.

Corinto is in the heart of the cocaine production territory of Colombia. The intense effort to curtail drug production has led to increased tension and financial hardship for local farmers as they shift to producing a less valuable crop. Corinto has such a reputation for its dangerous drug trade that "even our pastors from Cali don’t dare visit us," Dr. Pineda said.
