Greetings from Sioux Falls, South Dakota! We hope 2018 is getting off to a wonderful start for you. We think of you often and praise God for your generosity to the Luke Society.

We would like to inform you of a change we are making to our online giving platform. In an effort to use your donations in the most stewardly way possible, we are changing our service provider from Network for Good to Prolific Business Solutions.

Q: Why do we use a third-party platform for donations?
A: Security and liability. Equipping our own website to accept donations is very costly due to security elements. By using a third party we do not run the risk of storing your valuable credit card information.

Q: Why are we switching?
A: Network for Good charges an annual membership fee in addition to a 3 percent charge for every donation given. The fee included the cost for services we did not use.

Each credit card, depending on the type, will be charged a different processing fee. However, most will be less than the fixed 3 percent that Network for Good was charging. The average processing fee per card is expected to be between 1.5 and 2 percent through Prolific. Prolific is only processing credit cards for us.

Q: How are the receipts sent out?
A: Receipting should be less complicated and will eliminate some confusion in tax deductible receipts. Your receipts will come directly from the Luke Society and not the third party. Also, your credit card statement should also indicate your payment was made to “Luke Society” instead of “Network for Good.”

Q: What if I had a recurring donation through Network for Good?
A: Beginning in March, we ask that you cancel your recurring donation at Network for Good, and consider setting up a new recurring donation through Prolific. Links can be found below and on our website.

Q: What if my donations were one-time gifts?
A: No action is needed other than accessing this new URL link to one-time gifts.
