Kinshasa, DR Congo

Ministry profile

Dr. Hyacinthe Tubiabioko Bilombi was a refugee from his own country living in Zambia when the Holy Spirit began working in his heart to return to his homeland. It’s there he would open a Christian medical clinic in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s capital of Kinshasa.

His vision was to restore dignity to his own people, and that’s exactly what he has done since Hope Clinic opened in 2003. His three-part ministry focus includes social welfare, human rights and evangelism.

Hope Clinic experiences more child births than almost any clinic in the Luke Society family. The clinic also treats a variety of tropical diseases, including malaria. Nutrition and infant wellness are also major focuses of the ministry.

A pastor works on staff and prays for patients and families. The clinic fills with patients each morning and they join the Hope Clinic staff in devotions to start each day.
