Luke Society Nepal
Birtamode, Nepal
Dr. Kapil Mishra has always operated on the premise that physical and spiritual health must go hand-in-hand. It’s a core value for the structure of care offered through the Luke Society Nepal.
“There cannot be a spiritual life without the physical body,” Mishra said. “So we save the physical life, and also the spiritual life residing in it.”
Mishra was raised in a Hindu home, but the Spirit touched his life through Jesus. He now boldly proclaims his faith, even in the face of strong persecution toward Christians.
The Luke Society Nepal has several facets that help it accomplish its goals. On the physical side, it conducts community health promoter trainings and health education.
Just as important is the spiritual education that manifests itself through evangelism, discipleship training and church planting.
