Luke Society Madhya Pradesh
Odisha, India
Shobhit Rout grew up as close to a Luke Society culture as anyone. As the son of longtime Luke Society directors, Rev. Prem and Dr. Pushpa Rout, he got to see the inner workings of ministry in India from a young age.
After initially taking a different path in the business world, the Lord tapped on his shoulder to follow in his parents’ footsteps. He began his ministry in 2024 in India’s central region of Madhya Pradesh.
Shobhit has a number of components to his ministry besides his health care and health education focuses to the rural villagers. He supportd well projects to bring clean water to the region, teaches sewing skills, and works with school-age children to foster healthy nutrition and hygiene.
He hopes to soon get government approval for a clinic in the community of Sendhwa, which will serve as the ministry base for all activities.
