New clinic planned for India

Nearly 29% of the world — 2 billion people — have never heard the Gospel. Not once. They have never met a Christian, never heard the name of Jesus and have no access to a church or mission ary. Even more staggering: only 3% of full time missionaries and 1% of global missions giving go toward reaching this 29% (Gordon Conwell Seminary).

In the middle of this reality, I was encouraged — and honestly surprised — to see how many Luke Society ministries are serving among the world’s most unreached peoples. Of our 40 active minis tries, 23 are located within the 10/40 window, where most of the unreached 29% live.

One of our directors (the name disclosed due to security) serves in central India, where only 0.29% of the population is Christian (Census of India 2011). In many villages, access to healthcare is extremely limited. During the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the villages in the region asked the director to bring medical care to its community — an invitation that opened the door to long term ministry.

In 2024, the director opened a small clinic in a rented space. When the building was unexpectedly sold, he was forced to move out. Yet instead of slowing down, he began running mobile clinics, traveling to multiple villages to provide care wherever temporary space could be found. Out of these relationships, God has grown a preschool, a sewing training program, health education, and even a house of worship — all in a region where Christian presence is often opposed.

Most of the land in this tribal region is not available for purchase. Yet God has opened an extraor dinary door: the director has secured land for a permanent clinic — the first in the entire area. The boundaries have been marked and the purchase process has begun.

What remains is to complete the land payment and then construct a permanent clinic. We are seeking to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of building this clinic. This permanent clinic will provide reliable healthcare, strengthen community development, and bring the hope of the Gospel to one of the most unreached states in India.

Thank you for praying, giving, and standing with the Luke Society as we bring hope, healing, and the Gospel to communities who have never had access to either. Your partnership and generosity are helping write a story that will impact generations.
