Mbongo recipient of answered prayers

MBONGO, CAMEROON―The season of spring is filled with anticipation as the world awakens from its winter slumber and the beauty of new growth is majestically displayed.

One of the pleasures of spring is placing young plants in freshly tilled soil with the expectation of future growth. In the first week or two, there is no observable sign of growth as leaves on the plants remain unchanged. But beneath the soil, out of sight, important things are taking place. The new plant is sending out roots to establish itself. Once accomplished, a burst of fresh growth takes place that is clearly visible.

This is the type of growth that Dr. Patricia Dimene of Cameroon is now experiencing in her ministry, aptly named, “My Grace is Sufficient.” During the first three to four years of ministry, Patricia patiently planted her ministry in Mbongo. As she gained the trust of the villagers, foundational roots were being established. These relationships were strengthened as she invited residents to a Bible study and a once-weekly all-night prayer vigil. Throughout the process, she consistently asked for prayers from her Luke Society family and GAP warriors.

Generous Luke Society donors recently helped Patricia construct a much-needed new clinic. The growth since then has been remarkable. Patient volume at the clinic has nearly doubled from one year ago. Services with lab, pharmacy and obstetrics have been amplified and revenue has also doubled.

Patricia recognizes that all of this is a gracious answer to the faithful prayers of supporters. Prayers to Almighty God have power, and His answers consistently reflect His providential care for all who obediently respond to His call. Thank you for continuing to stand in the gap for our Luke Society brothers and sisters around the world as God’s kingdom continues to grow for His glory!
